The NOTTINGHAM POETRY SERIES began in 2009 with the aim of: -Supporting the presence of poetry at the University of Nottingham, in Nottingham, and in the region -Providing opportunities for the practise of poetry through workshops, lectures, masterclasses, and readings -Linking poets and poetry organisations to one another, and providing the public with information about events, community, and the writing life -Working with other organisations to enhance general access to poetry in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire WHAT'S ON: WORKSHOP APPLICATIONS now available! The fourth of the juried readings presented by the Nottingham Poetry Series features American poet Kerri French (whose work has appeared in many journals and was selected by Mark Strand for inclusion in an anthology, Best New Poets, 2008), and two poets TBA.
